Hey, I’m Doug,

and this is my entrepreneur's journey so far:

I failed

In 2009 I failed big as a non technical co-founder attempting to build the facebook for nightlife and made every mistake in the book.

I learned

I decided the only way to bounce back was to become a technical founder and so taught myself to code through Harvard's free online CS50 course.

I gave

I wanted to help others avoid making mistakes and so I set out to help inform other aspiring entrepreneurs through the creation of Tech Britain in 2012, the UK’s first comprehensive map of the startup ecosystem.

I connected

I co-founded the first tech co-working and event space in central Manchester, and became an adviser to the government in doing so becoming a founding member of the Tech Nation cluster alliance.

I launched

In 2015 it was time to get back in the saddle and so with a passion for gaming I founded the UK’s first esports book maker and subsequently won the William Hill accelerator program.

And now I create

For the past 3 years I have been committed to transforming the UK's internet infrastructure through Telcom. By using new technologies and partnering up with key institutions, we are growing as a company and making the UK's connectivity future-ready and unlock globally remarkable innovation.
